NON-FOYER SHREDDED WHEAT ADVERTISING POSTCARDS: INCIDENTAL CARDS

NON-FOYER SHREDDED WHEAT ADVERTISING POSTCARDS: INCIDENTAL CARDS

No doubt many different cards will be found relating to The Shredded Wheat Company and Nabisco Shredded Wheat.  The two pictured below are unrelated to one another.

The first is a card sent out by Wilson’s Market in Florissant, Mo.  It happens to advertise Shreddies, a short-lived product in the U.S.  This is on the Jefferson postal card, and is cancelled in 1946.

The second is a card sent out by the Company – Nabisco Food Limited in Toronto, explaining that an item offered as a premium is not yet available.  It too is printed on a government postal card, in this case Canadian.  It is used in 1958.
