SHREDDED WHEAT ADVERTISING POST CARDS: SET XIV & XV – VERTICAL VIEWS OF FACTORY AND FALLS
Set XIV is a vertical view, with a framed factory view over a Falls view, and retains the signature line which first was used in Set XIII. It has a message similar to previous cards:
I have just gone through this wonderful, clean bakery and have seen them make Shredded Wheat. You certainly would like Shredded Wheat even better than you do, if you could see it made.
The divided back is the same as used on Set XIII. There is no longer a Series number on these cards; this was discontinued with the purchase of Shredded Wheat by The National Biscuit Company in late 1928.
Set XV had a circular view of the Falls over a framed view of the factory. “The Home of Shredded Wheat/ at Niagara Falls, N.Y.” is across the bottom of the card. The divided back now has a message:
I have just taken an extremely interesting trip though the famous Shredded Wheat Bakeries of National Biscuit Company here at Niagara Falls. It certainly makes one hungry to see those delicious golden-brown Shredded Wheat biscuits in the making.
Place/stamp/here had been added to the stamp box.
