SHREDDED WHEAT ADVERTISING POST CARDS: SET XVI – VERTICAL LINEN VIEWS – DOUBLE VIEWS OF FALLS OVER FACTORY
Set XVI is a vertical view, with a Falls view over a factory view, and has a number lower right of 8A-H613. It has a message similar to previous cards, and comes is two varieties:
I have just taken an extremely interesting trip though the famous Shredded Wheat Bakeries of National Biscuit Company here at Niagara Falls. It certainly makes one hungry to see those delicious golden-brown Shredded Wheat biscuits in the making. [1939]
This is the same message as the previous [Set XV] card. This was later changed to:
I have just taken an extremely interesting trip through the famous Bakeries of National Biscuit Shredded Wheat here at Niagara Falls. It certainly makes one hungry to see those delicious, golden-brown biscuits in the making. [1940]
The dark blue banner at the bottom of the card reads, “The Home of Shredded Wheat at Niagara Falls, N.Y., there is no box of Shredded Wheat pictured. These views are very similar to the cards which follow.
